Welcome back Marvel fans! Today we are talking about episode 4 of Moon Knight. The race to Ammit’s statue comes to an end in more ways than one. There are a lot of familiar faces here, but what is actually happening? What is real and what is fake? We have some thoughts.
This is your spoiler warning if you haven’t seen episode 4 of Moon Knight.
Moon Knight Episode 4 Breakdown & Easter Eggs
Khonshu’s ushabti is placed on the wall alongside NINE other Egyptian gods. The most recognizable is Anubis. In the comics, Anubis helped Marc when he was trying to escape from Ammit’s illusions. More on that at the end of the episode. If the current Ennead, who is definitely missing members, trapped Anubis, who else have they imprisoned?
Steven and Layla make it inside the tomb of Ammit’s avatar, clearly a wealthy Pharaoh. Bloody mummification tools are at the campsite they raid, however they do not see them. As a result, Layla and Steven wind up in some serious bloody trouble. Inside the tomb, they encounter undead Heka priests and Arthur’s henchman.
Arthur SHOOTS Marc and “kills” him. Or does he? Marc awakens in a mental hospital. Poor Dr. Harrow is only trying to help. There are a lot of familiar faces inside the hospital, even Gus the Goldfish. Marc isn’t sure what to make of all this. If you haven’t read the comics you might equally be confused. Don’t worry that is what we are here for.
More Jake Lockley proof and there is a Hippo goddess.

Welcome back Marvel fans! Today we are talking about episode 3 of Moon Knight. Arthur Harrow has the scarab so Marc needs to find another way to stop him. In Egypt, he teams up with Layla and faces an old comic book foe. Plus did Marvel just reveal there is another identity inside Marc’s body?
So this is your spoiler warning if you haven’t seen episode 3 of Moon Knight.
Moon Knight Episode 3 Breakdown and Easter Eggs
Layla picks up a fake passport in order to follow Marc to Egypt. Good thing she does that considering he definitely needs her help finding a certain clue to Ammit’s tomb. But before that, Marc and Steven try to get information about Arthur in order to stop him. It doesn’t go as planned and neither of the guys owns up to killing the Ammit followers. Does that mean there is a third identity lurking in the mind? We think so.
This episode introduces MCU fans to Anton Mogart, aka Midnight Man, a comic book foe of Moon Knight. Like in the comics, Anton steals things not because he wants the money but because he likes to collect things. And just like the comics, his encounter with Marc Spector leaves him left for dead… maybe.
After some fancy sky work, Khonshu is imprisoned in a shabti which means Marc/Steven and whoever else is using the body won’t have access to Khonshu’s powers. That could prove to be a big problem next week as the race to get to Ammit’s tomb continues.

Welcome back Marvel fans! Today we are talking about episode 2 of Moon Knight. Steven must face the consequences of Marc’s actions not only at work but also with Layla. And who is Marc Spector? This week, we all find out.
So this is your spoiler warning if you haven’t seen episode 2 of Moon Knight.
Moon Knight Episode 2 Breakdown & Easter Eggs
This week’s episode begins with Steven fired from his job thanks to Marc’s actions the night before–namely destroying a bathroom to kill the attacking jackal. However, the museum only sees Steven lurking around the floor and running from nothing.
In an effort to prove himself NOT crazy, Steven decides he is going to track down the storage locker that goes with the key he found in his apartment. There he discovers not only is Marc real, but he has led a very different life from Steven. Marc wants to take control in order to finish the mission and get away from Khonshu but Steven refuses to give up the body. Khonshu chases Steven outside where he runs into Layla. Layla, who happens to be Marc’s wife.
Arthur Harrow has his cop friends arrest Steven and bring him to his part of London where he attempts to recruit Steven to his side. It doesn’t work and Layla shows up to save him. On the run from the evil magician, Layla tells him to, “Summon the suit.” He does, but it’s not the Moon Knight suit but the Mr. Knight suit. Steven is proud of himself until once again is out of his depth. Then it’s up to Marc to take over and save the night.
But Khonshu has plans–and so does Harrow. Marc needs to get to Egypt before worse things happen.

Welcome back Marvel fans! Today we are talking about the first MCU show of 2022: Moon Knight. It’s time for the world to meet Marc, um Steven Grant, a gift shopist who has issues sleeping. His dreams seem very realistic, but luckily they are only dreams. Or are they? Soon enough the lines between real and fake are blurred, add in a moon deity and poor Steven’s world is turned completely upside down.
So this is your spoiler warning if you haven’t seen episode 1 of Moon Knight.
Moon Knight Episode 1 Breakdown & Easter Eggs
The episode starts with a look at cult leader Arthur Harrow. In the show, he is the leader of the followers of Ammit. In the comics, he is a Nobel Prize candidate for his work in pain theory. The glass thing might be a nod to the former unless they explain it more in future episodes.
Steven Grant wakes up chained to his bed. He does this and many other things around his apartment to reassure himself that he did not get up and wander around in the night. After another day at the museum, Steven attempts to stay away. However, he falls asleep at some point and awakens in a field in Germany. If that castle looks familiar then you too watched Marvel’s What If?
The voice of Khonshu is heard, clearly annoyed that Steven once again is in control of the body. After a run-in with Harrow and his goons who are after the golden scarab Steven somehow has in his pocket, he flees. But not before he blacks out again and comes to with bloody fists and a pile of beaten-up bad guys around him.
Some more blacking out, more yelling by Khonshu, and poof Steven wakes up back at home. It was all a dream. Or was it? Harrow has followed him to the museum and sends jackals after him at night. Good thing Marc is around-ish to help.
Hey friends! Welcome back for The Weekly Bugle Vol 12. WandaVision has officially debuted on Disney+ and we have a lot to talk about. Oh and another fake Loki, The Ayer Cut, and more!
The Weekly Bugle Vol 12
We spent the bulk of our time chatting about WandaVision, how could we not? But we couldn’t leave you without talking about The Ayer Cut and what in the world is going on over at the DCEU.
Spoiler warning if you have not watched the WandaVision premiere.
WandaVision Premiere
We don’t know about you but we loved every minute of the premiere of WandaVision. The sitcom vibes and the looming presence of something sinister made for the perfect combination and welcome back to the MCU.
Each episode offered up a lot in terms of Easter eggs and clues as to what could be coming in future episodes. If you missed anything don’t worry we got you. Basically, we watched each episode a ton of times so you don’t have to unless you want to. After all, Marvel, like Star Wars, aims to pack in a lot into each episode so multiple viewings are a must if you want to catch everything.
Episode one was mostly feel good-sitcomy, but then dinner happened and things start to look a bit off. Do you think Mr. Hart was choking because of Wanda or was another outside force choking him to end his train of questioning?
One of our favorite moments in episode 2 that happened was the ill-fated meeting of the women that included a massive tease to a certain devil of Marvel. Mephisto was referenced in the show and not only that he is a key component of Wanda’s story, her twins, and her eventual breakdown.
While the commercials at first appear to be just callbacks to previous MCU films and characters we have a feeling they mean something more. The layers of these commercials might not be 100% clear until the last episode airs. But we have some theories.
Agnes might be the best character, at least she has the best lines. I’m using that line about being sober at the next parent night at school. No shame.
Rumors have been going around that Ethan Hawke has reportedly joined the MCU as the villain in Moon Knight.
Thor Love and Thunder
Another big rumor is that Matt Damon was seen in Sydney where they are filming Thor Love and Thunder. Previously Matt played Loki in “The Tragedy of the Loki of Asgard” in Thor Ragnarok. Is he back as stage Loki or will he play a different role this time?
The Justice League and The Ayer Cut
Another week, another change to the Snyder Cut release. This time, Zack Snyder’s Justice League will now be 4 hours long and not a mini-series on HBO Max. It will also get a theatrical release. FOUR hours…in a theater? No thank you.
In other DCEU news, fans are once again calling for a director’s cut of a movie. This time it is the Suicide Squad. Director David Ayer released a scene with a burned Joker that was cut (like so many other scenes) from the final film. Given the time and effort it took to get The Snyder Cut released, we wonder if DC will listen sooner on this Ayer cut.
But we have to wonder, doesn’t all this make the studio look bad? What do you think DC fans?
Hey friends! Welcome to this weeks The Weekly Bugle Vol 4. We have a lot to discuss including The Mandalorian Chapter 11 bombshell, Tobey Maguire in the MCU, the Fresh Prince, and more!
The Weekly Bugle Vol 4
Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode Three The Heiress.
The Mandalorian Season 2 The Heiress
So much happened in Chapter 11 of The Mandalorian from Bo-Katan to Ahsoka Tano, this episode was packed Star Wars lore. Sasha Banks made her debut and not as who we all thought she might be. We also learned why exactly our Mando doesn’t take his helmet off when our other Mandalorian friends do. This is the way.
Karma came round for Baby Yoda this week when he was swallowed whole by the ironically named Mamacore. So maybe now that he’s survived being eaten and has played with the baby of the Frog Lady people will uncancel him?
To be honest, we didn’t see any harm in it but maybe that’s because we are the same broken people who didn’t have an issue with a certain character being offed on Helstrom. What do you think?
WandaVision is coming to Disney+ on January 15, 2021. Unfortunately, this means no new MCU, Marvel Studios offerings in 2020. It’s been a sad year but at least it will be a bright Marvel New Year.
The new stills didn’t reveal much but they did show an I Love Lucy looking set. It will also cover at least 6 decades of television.
The Umbrella Academy Season 3
The Umbrella Academy was officially renewed for season 3, duh. This show is one of our favorites. We cannot wait to see what aspects of Hotel Oblivion are adapted for the show.
The Sparrow Academy showed up at the end of Season 2 and with a not dead anymore Ben at the lead, fans are wondering who exactly are these people/things? Our theory is they aren’t doppelgängers but adaptations of characters from the comic book, which could make for some interesting interactions amongst all these Hargreeves misfits.
Moon Knight will begin filming in early 2021. Gregory Middleton (Watchmen) will be the cinematographer and Stefanie Cella (Morbius) will be the production designer.
Thor 4: Chris Pratt Confirmed
Chris Pratt is confirmed for Thor Love and Thunder. The film will most likely open with Thor and The Guardians in space before they part ways.
Star-Lord is fine and all but we are excited to see Rocket and Groot continue their bromance with Thor. So here’s hoping for more official announcements.
Tobey Maguire MCU News
Rumors are floating around that Tobey Maguire may have signed on for more than just Spider-Man 3. This could mean he will also show up in Doctor Strange 2. With all the multiverse happenings he could show up anywhere or anytime.
Mads Mikkelsen in Fantastic Beasts
Mads is in early talks to replace Johnny Depp as Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts franchise. He certainly has the look and the acting capabilities again, we wonder is it needed?
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reunion
90s kids! The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion trailer dropped and it had us feeling all kinds of things. Happy, sad, and excited about the special. Watch it here.
Hey friends! Welcome to this weeks The Weekly Bugle Vol 2. We have a lot to discuss including the premiere of Baby Yoda Season 2… I mean The Mandalorian Season 2, Helstrom, Ant-Man 3, and more!
The Weekly Bugle Vol 2
Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen Season 2 Episode One The Marshal or Helstrom.
The Mandalorian Season 2 The Marshal
There were a lot of Easter eggs hiding in this episode and it ends with a pretty big surprise–Boba Fett! Earlier in the episode we see Cobb Vanth wearing Boba Fett’s armor which had fans anticipating some information on the original Star Wars Mandalorian.
We didn’t have to wait long. At the very end of the episode, a man is seen watching from a sand dune. It is revealed to be Temuera Morrison, who played Jango Fettin Star Wars Attack of the Clones. He has also voiced Boba Fett in the past. Boba is a clone of Jango… Boba survived the Sarlacc Pit.
One of our second favorite Easter Eggs was actually a pearl, a Krayt Dragon pearl to be exact. Not only are the pearls highly valuable some can also contain Kyber Crystals, which as you know are needed to power lightsabers.
Helstrom, a Marvel TV show on Hulu, is about Daimon and Ana Helstrom, two half-demon half-human reluctant superheroes who are trying to save the world from their father and his kind. Their father isn’t your run-of-the-mill demon either, he just so happens to be Satan himself.
The show has quickly become a favorite of ours with its witty dialogue and great action scenes. It’s the kind of rare show that gets the point without sacrificing plot points or character development. It is dark and rated MA so definitely not one for the kids.
Speaking of dark, we’ve been called cold-blooded for our assessment of how a certain thing was treated in the show, but hey, it’s a demon, and you gotta do what you gotta do.
With Daimon’s comic book ties to Ghost Rider, Blade, The Winter Soldier, and more, we are hoping Ana and Daimon come to the MCU and bring their fiery personalities (pun intended) with them.
Ghost Rider
Speaking of Ghost Rider, talks have resumed in the fandom world about who should play him. Some say Nicolas Cage, others Gabriel Luna who played him in Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, and then there is Keanu Reeves.
Whether it is Ghost Rider or Deacon Frost, or someone else yet to be named, we hope to see Keanu join the MCU.
Ant-Man 3
According to the official Marvel website, Scott Lang’s stint in the Quantum Realm is a story for another time. This could mean a flashback scene either at the beginning of Ant-Man 3, or as a post-credit in Black Widow, The Multiverse of Madness, or some other upcoming Marvel Phase 4 offering.
With Kang the Conqueror being the baddie for this one and time travel his thing, this could be how they show Kang has been lurking in the QR for a while now, just waiting to strike.
James Gunn
In other fandom news, James Gunn in a recent interview said that a Superman movie was on the table before he went with Suicide Squad. We don’t know about you but Henry deserves his own movie or the be released to come to the MCU.
He even shared that Kevin Feige knows who the villain is for Suicide Squad. We know that man can keep a secret!
Also, Amy Adams’ Lois Lane joins the Natalie Portman Jane Foster list for us.
It’s been a week of 90s news. From Animaniacs and Tiny Toons, to The Power Rangers and Saved By The Bell, a lot of our favorites are coming back to TV.
TBH we only care about Saved By The Bell because they have the original cast- smart move! We also can’t even say the word Animaniacs without singing the theme song.
Maybe the 90s will save us from 2020?
Songbird
Or maybe the 90s can at least save us from this mess.
Songbird is a big fat N-O. No. Negative. Nope. Michael Bay needs to read the room, nay the universe. No one, I repeat NO ONE wants a flipping film about dealing with Covid. NO. ONE.

Hey friends! For several years now we have hosted a weekly Twitter Chat called #MarvelMondays. We decided to take all the awesome news we share there and bring it here to the podcast.
The Weekly Bugle Vol 1
Unlike Marvel Mondays, The Weekly Bugle will feature the latest and greatest in all fandom news, not just Marvel. Without further ado, here is The Weekly Bugle Vol 1.
According to an opinion piece from Screenrant and chatter online, fans have been debating what Thor’s phase 4 arc should be. Some argue that Thor should become the leader of The Avengers while others are leaning towards Captain Marvel.
There are pros and cons to Thor taking the lead and while it makes sense in his story, it also doesn’t. The man, er God, has spent a lot of time and dialogue not being a ruler. But as long as it doesn’t mean Natalie Portman’s Jane takes over we are okay with whatever direction Taika and the MCU is taking Thor.
Shang-Chi and The Eternals are two films we heard announced, got little tidbits for, and then thanks to 2020 it has been radio silence ever since. However, Shang-Chi has wrapped on filming which has everyone speculating when we could see Simu make his debut in costume.
There’s nothing like the feeling of proving the haters wrong so imma save this one for nine months.
Keep doing you in the meantime my dude, and I’ll keep doing me. By which I mean plowing into this box of Tim Tams like it’s the vaccine. #WRAPThoughtshttps://t.co/tSDTPoBdRR
Shang-Chi Teaser in January with a full trailer to come with Black Widow. That of course is if everything stays the course and we have no further derailments to our precious timeline.
WandaVision
Although we have been wandering the desert of no Marvel, there is an oasis on the horizon. WandaVision is coming this December and the trailer offered so many clues as to what maybe coming down the line for Phase 4.
Including a possible hint at the future of a character in Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
Falcon and The Winter Soldier: US Agent will be called Captain America
Minor spoiler for those who have no read the comics or watched any interviews, US Agent will be using the title Captain America at the start of Falcon and The Winter Soldier. In the comics Wyatt takes the mantle when the government deemed Fury to old and Sam Wilson not the right color. Wyatt was already a government agent and begrudgingly took over as Cap for awhile.
US Agent eventually joins up with other superhero teams including the Thunderbolts and the Dark Avengers. Which is interesting due to the Dark Avengers Easter egg in the WandaVision trailer.
“LITTLE BABY JUNE’S FIRST WORD TICKLES MOTHER”
This is the headline on the newspaper Vision is holding. In the comic books June Covington is a part of the Dark Avengers, using the alias Scarlet Witch.
If you’re curious to see more of Ashley’s trailer breakdown go here:
Uncharted
Finally, the Uncharted film is being made and Tom Holland shared a photo of him as Drake on set. We haven’t played the game before but all video game adaptations make us nervous.
The problem with video game adaptations is they are either excellent or garbage. We are hoping for the former for Tom. One thing that is never garbage? Tom Holland.
Speaking of our favorite Spider-Man, Tom Holland has been spotted in Georgia and posted that he has received the script for Spider-Man 3. He says he won’t spill anything because he has learned his lesson but it’s Tom so we think we will get a little something.
Breaking News: Moon Knight
Rumor has it that Oscar Issac is in talks to play Marc Spector in Moon Knight! Major outlets are reporting this news and although he will most likely deny it, we know how those denials usually go. *cough* Paul Rudd *cough*
