Welcome to Geek Girls Universe, your home for all things geeky. We are your head geeks in charge, Jana Seitzer and Ashley Saunders.
We bonded over our mutual love of Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, and a whole lot of other nerdy things. Two years ago we decided to join forces and put on a weekly Twitter chat, #MarvelMondays to connect with other fans of the Marvel Universe.
Recently, these Geek Girls branched out and began a podcast, The Geek Girls Universe Podcast, where we could share their love for all those other amazing fandoms out there.
The simple answer is we are big geeks. After countless phone calls and texts talking about all the latest geek news and hours online geeking out with others, we knew it was time to level up our fangirl status and start a podcast.
This podcast is for everyone, whether you are a casual fan or a die-hard fangirl or boy, the Geek Girls Universe is your place, where you can connect with others just like you.
Meet The Geek Girls
Hey everyone, I’m Ashley Saunders and I’ve been a geek since I can remember. I’ve always loved comic books, movies, TV shows, reading, gaming, you name it I geek out for it. You can find a lot of my geek musings on my website withashleyandco.com and on Twitter @ThatAshleyErin.
Currently, I’m obsessing over Marvel Phase 4, Star Wars, my next Disney Parks trip, Kingdom Hearts, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. I’m always looking for suggestions on new books and shows to watch so feel free to tweet me if you have any. You can also find my trailer reactions and movie reactions on my Youtube Channel.
Hey, friends! I’m Jana Seitzer! Similarly to Ashley, I’ve been geeky as long as I can remember. I’m old enough (barely) to have seen the first Star Wars in the theatres and I grew up adoring cult movies like The Goonies.
I’m related to John Carpenter, so I come by my love of creepy things honestly. Marvel and Star Wars are two of my most favorite fandoms. I fell in love with Disney when I was 6 years old and get to the parks multiple times annually. Fortunately, my family is almost as geeky as I am, so it works out well for travel destinations and movie choices and such.
Pick a fandom: Harry Potter, Game of Thrones; we apparently like fandoms with houses.
