Marvel Studios and Sony have given us new looks at both Black Widow and Morbius. The Black Widow was a special look while Morbius was the anticipated teaser. When it comes to anything Marvel, you know we had to deep dive and get to work breaking down what we saw.
Black Widow Special Look
The Black Widow special look gave fans a few new seconds of awesomeness from the upcoming Phase 4 film. Specifically, we see the World of Widows, Red Guardian, and Taskmaster in action.
It’s exciting to think Natasha and her family will have to face Widows, fighters with their skillset. But more terrifying for her will be Taskmaster. For those curious as to why his fighting styles seem so familiar…we love you, but read a comic book!
Black Widow Comics to Read Before The Movie
The short answer is Taskmaster can ahem master, any physical skillset of his opponents. To fully appreciate what Black Widow is up against, see the comics listed in the above post. This baddie has some serious potential and we hope Marvel won’t kill him off at the end of this movie.

Morbius
A little background on Morbius. Dr. Michael Morbius creates a cure for his rare blood disease that turns him into a living vampire, with superhuman powers and bloodlust. Like a real vampire, Morbius needs to drink blood to survive. Unlike a real one, once he regains his senses and transforms back into his human state he feels guilt and remorse.
Morbius is a classic complicated Marvel villain. You want to hate him but part of you can’t.
We got a glimpse of Hunger, another living vampire but without the guilt or shame. He is like the other side of a coin when it comes to Morbius. Ultimately, he will end up being the big bad of the film.
At the end Vulture appears, rocking his prison garb we last saw him in in Spider-Man Homecoming. With Vulture, rumored J. Jonah Jameson, and the mention of Spider-Man being a murder, this could be Sony’s way of tying their films into the MCU. Something we as fans would love to see.
All of these bread crumbs are fueling our speculation that the Sinister Six could be coming int he future. They already have several players in the game, it just makes sense. Trust us Sony, we drink and we know things.
