Loki Episode 5 was a game-changer for our Loki and opened a door of other Lokis that we hope to see more of in the future. Kid Loki is a Young Avenger after all and Alligator Loki is perfection. In the finale of season 1, Loki and Sylvie confront the man behind the curtain and we get some nice validation for a theory. But as the credits roll, the future of the MCU is absolute madness. Are you ready for this Loki episode 6 breakdown?
The opening Marvel Studios logo scroll was packed with audio from films spanning the entire MCU. This was a bit of foreshadowing. By the end of the episode what is real and what isn’t may be up for debate. Not only did we hear MCU quotes but also ones from our own world. Marvel is saying hey we are all part of this multiverse and things are about to get a bit mad.
Speaking of madness, Miss Minutes popping up like that with her crazy eyes = stuff of nightmares. For everyone who thought she was cute and sweet, good luck sleeping tonight.
Let’s get to the good stuff. KANG. The second Jonathan Majors appeared in that elevator we cheered. After the Mephisto business and Power Broker, there were some doubts they would actually reveal Kang. But holy Hela they brought him out, Immortus style, and Majors killed it. We cannot wait to see more of his variants down the road.
Despite him lying about some things, he actually wasn’t lying about the consequences of taking him out. Sylvie didn’t want to listen to him and decided attacking him was the best option. Loki tried to stop her and reason with her. But unfortunately, she doesn’t trust anyone and he isn’t trustworthy. The kiss heard round the multiverse happens and Sylvie betrays Loki, shoving him back through a time door to the TVA.
She kills Kang, but exactly what he said would happen happens. The timeline explodes and a war is coming. Kang The Conqueror has officially taken over. Heartbroken Loki runs into his friend Mobius who doesn’t recognize him.
Loki Episode 4 left us on a cliffhanger. Where and when did Loki get pruned to? We get those answers and more. Tom wasn’t kidding when he said 4 and 5 were game-changers. With how this one ended, we cannot wait to see what happens in episode 6. Are you ready for this Loki episode 5 breakdown?
“Journey Into Mystery” is titled after the comic series of the same name. In fact, it is where Loki made his more modern comic debut. Loki awakes finding himself trapped in the Void, the cosmic dumping ground for the TVA. He also learns quickly that the other Lokis’ plan is simply to survive, nothing more, nothing less. Specifically, he needs to survive being annihilated by Alioth.
Comic fans were excited to see Alioth in this form, as sort of a guard dog to whoever and whatever lies beyond the void. While Loki works on not dying, Sylvie interrogates Renslayer about what happened to Loki and what is going on at the TVA. She ends up pruning herself to get to Loki and figure out who is pulling the strings of the TVA.
In the Void, there are a ton of Easter eggs to spot, including the infamous Thanos-Copter. The Lokis have a bunker where they hide from Alioth and the rest of Void, including the marauding President Loki and his army.
Sylvie wakes up and is almost eaten, but she is saved by Lightning McQueen. Okay, fine, it was Mobius who pulls up in a variant Pizza Planet truck. We won’t accept any other theories on why Mobius was driving a pizza car.
The Lokis and Mobius make a plan to enchant Alioth and discover what he is hiding. Mobius went back to the TVA while Classic Loki takes an impressive stand. The episode ends with a portal to the Quantum Realm? What’s going to happen next week? We can’t wait to find out. But also why does it have to be the last episode?
Loki Episode 3 was incredible, but it seems like Marvel pulled out all the stops with this episode. Our minds are officially blown. Once again, this is another episode of “I told you so,” with several confirmations of theories we had early on. However, we’re still, “WOW,” to use one of Owen Wilson’s favorite phrases. Are you ready for this Loki episode 4 breakdown?
Episode 4 of Loki begins with Sylvie as a child on Asgard, playing in the Throne Room, when the TVA shows up to arrest her for crimes against the sacred timeline.
Renslayer is the Hunter who brings her in. Sylvie escapes the TVA during her hearing by stealing Renslayer’s TemPad and disappearing to some other place on the timeline.
Renslayer reveals to Mobius that the hostage C-20 is dead and theTime-Keepers are upset at how close Sylvie got to them; she orders Mobius to find the variants ASAP.
Back on Lamentis-1, the world is ending. Sylvie tells Loki, “The universe wants to break free, so it manifests chaos. Like me being born the Goddess of Mischief.”
She tells him how the TVA took her as a child prisoner but she escaped. Everywhere she went, she created a Nexus Event that signaled the TVA.
Loki and Sylvie are comforting each other in the last moments before Lamentis is completely destroyed, and it creates a timeline branch so strong it not only shows up on the TVA monitor, but it practically shoots straight up. Mobius arrives on Lamentis and takes the duo into custody.
Just as Mobius is about to send Loki through a Time Cell, Loki tells him the TVA is lying.
The Time Cell sends Loki to Asgard, where he sees Lady Sif, and he’s stuck in a time loop at a moment where he has apparently cut part of Sif’s hair in a prank. Because it’s a time loop, when Loki tries to reason with Sif and get her to help him, she just kicks his butt…repeatedly.
This moment is based on a story in Norse Mythology, not based on a scene we have seen in the MCU. Lady Sif, the wife of Thor, has her hair cut off by Loki. Thor threatens him until he can fix it. However, in the MCU, Sif needs no help from Thor.
Mobius retrieves Loki out of the Time Cell to determine the cause of the Nexus Event on Lamentis. Loki denies everything before deciding to tell him an elaborate made-up story. Mobius casually mentions Sylvie is dead to see Loki’s reaction; he seems taken aback before he dons his uncaring Loki mask he wears so well.
That brief look was all it took for Mobius to figure out it was two variants falling for one another that caused the spike in the timeline. Sylvie and Loki have feelings for each other and that kind of thing can cause pure chaos that breaks reality.
Loki tries again to implore Mobius that the Time-Keepers kidnapped all the TVA peeps from the timeline, the entire TVA is comprised of Variants, and their memories have been erased–memories which Sylvie can access through enchantment.
In Renslayer’s office, she signs off on Mobius’ paperwork and he asks why she wouldn’t let him interrogate Sylvie. She claims to be protecting him. She then asks him if he could go anywhere and anytime where would it be? He never answers. He continues to ask about Hunter C-20 and you can tell he doesn’t believe a word out of her mouth.
TL;DR
Hunter B-15 took Sylvie back to Roxxcart to find out more about the memories she has after being enchanted. She’s ready to take down the TVA, too.
Mobius swapped TemPads with Renslayer when she wasn’t looking at knows C-20 remembers her whole life previous to the TVA–and Renslayer does, too.
Mobius tells Loki that he knows he was telling the truth about the TVA, and he wants to help Loki and Sylvie bring it down.
WOW moment 1: Renslayer stops Mobius in the hallway and PRUNES MOBIUS. She takes the variants up the elevator to stand before the Time-Keepers.
Hunter B-15 releases both variants from their collars.
Mother forking shirtballs.
A cosmic fight ensues. Sylvie vs Renslayer, Loki vs the Hunters. Sylvie throws her sword, lobs off the head of a Time-Keeper to find it’s a robot. So very Wizard of Oz-like.
Loki attempts to tells Sylvie about his feelings for her…it’s Loki, this is new territory.
WOW moment 2: Renslayer PRUNES LOKI from behind while he’s professing his love to Sylvie.
Sylvie isn’t playing and wants to know ALL ABOUT THE TVA from Renslayer.
Bruh, That Loki Post Credit Scene in Loki Episode 4
Loki Episode 2 was amazing and all but Marvel keeps blowing our minds with this series. The Loki variants spend some quality time on Lamentis and we learn exactly what Sylvie is up to. She also confirms one of our theories and that always feels great. Are you ready for this Loki episode 3 breakdown?
Episode 3 of Loki starts off with Sylvie using her enchantment powers to get C-20 to reveal the location of the Time Keepers. Sylvie opened a door to the TVA using the stolen TemPad and attempts to locate the Time Keepers.
Renslayer finds both Sylvie (Lady Loki) and Loki by the golden elevators and before she can do anything, Loki opens another door and he and Sylvie escape. Sorta. They end up on Lamentis-1, which is about to be destroyed. Either they can work together to survive or they will both die.
It wouldn’t be Loki vs Loki if they didn’t try to trick each other. They get into some mischief with a widow before using their powers to get on board a train to safety. After a heart to heart which revealed Loki’s sexual orientation, Sylvie rests, and Loki drinks. A lot.
We didn’t know we needed to hear Tom Hiddleston singing a song in this episode but it was exactly what we needed. This is the kind of content that can heal the world.
Unfortunately, his performance draws too many eyes. A fight breaks out and despite their impressive fighting skills, they lose. Loki and Sylvie make their way to the Ark, a ship that will take them off-planet to safety. Unfortunately, it is destroyed.
They are now stuck on Lamentis. We have some theories on how they will make it off. What are yours?
Loki Episode 1 was amazing but we told you episode 2 was going to be even better. And now you know we weren’t kidding. From Pompeii and Ragnarok to a variant reveal, there was a lot going on. Are you ready for this Loki episode 2 breakdown?
The episode starts with the TVA tracking the bad Loki to 1985. Hunter C-20 and her team are killed quickly. Bad Loki takes C-20 hostage, which is a new move for the variant.
It is clear the TVA has no idea which Loki they are after. Hoping that Loki will be able to help, Mobius takes him to the scene. Loki stalls for time however allowing the variant to escape. Renslayer is doubtful Loki will prove useful but Mobius once again gets her to relent. We think she is still suspicious, don’t you?
After botching the earlier plan, Loki gets a job. He studies the files the TVA has on the variant, looking for anything they missed. Naturally, he decides he wants to know more about the TVA, and time itself. Classified. He does, however, get to read up on himself.
This leads him to a theory that the bad Loki is hiding in apocalypses. To test this Mobius and Loki head to Pompeii moments before Mount Vesuvius erupts. Even though Loki causes chaos his theory is proven correct.
With this new info, Loki and the TVA track down the variant hiding in a Roxxcart store in 2050. But when Loki corners the variant he learns just exactly who he is dealing with. Lady Loki. She opens a doorway and Loki follows.
We have theories on where they are headed. What about you? And if you are unsure who Lady Loki is don’t worry we have that info for you too.
The moment we have all been waiting for, Loki is finally here and he has a GLORIOUS purpose. Episode 1 included the TVA, Mobius, and the reason Loki isn’t reset for his crimes. Oh and just a revelation that a few someones may have died for nothing. Are you ready for this Loki episode 1 breakdown?
This is your spoiler warning if you have not watched Episode 1 of Loki “Glorious Purpose.”
The episode started off right where we left Loki, escaping the Avengers in 2012 using the Tesseract. He leaves NYC and lands in the Gobi Desert, Unfortunately, the people living there don’t seem to care who he is but the TVA does.
Hunter B 15 and her Minute Men appear and arrest Loki for crimes against the sacred timeline. They use an interesting weapon against him, the Time Twister, which has some comic book origins. At the TVA Loki watches an instructional video featuring Miss Minutes that catches us all up on who the TVA is and what they do.
Long story short the Time Keepers created the TVA to guard the timeline after they saved it from a multiverse war. Throw in a few comic book Easter eggs and even a Disney Parks one and it was a very interesting video.
The Avengers botched Time Heist and their time traveling, which Loki figured out by the way, is dismissed by Judge Renslayer as something that was suppose to happen. Easy way out on that one Marvel but we aren’t mad about it. Time Travel is hard. For comic fans if Renslayer’s name sounds familiar it’s because Ravonna Renslayer just happened to be Kang The Conqueror’s lady love. Kang is the villain in Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania. Is Renslayer sus? We have some thoughts.
In order to show Loki the TVA is real, he sees events in his life that haven’t happened yet. We are forced to live through his saddest moments (rude) and cry as he cries. Loki escapes, naturally, and discovers a drawer full of… wait for it… INFINITY STONES. Excuse me TVA. We have some questions. Why didn’t you help the Avengers? Black Widow and Gamora died for nothing? And Vision? Wanda is going to want to have a chat with you.
It ends with confirmation that our original theory about the Variant was true. They need Loki’s help because the dangerous Variant IS Loki. We can’t share about Episode 2 yet but trust us, it just gets even wilder from here.
For the latest episode of the Geek Girls Universe Podcast, we sat down for an interview with Jon Levine your soon-to-be favorite friendly neighborhood TVA clerk. That’s right, Jon is part of the new series Loki.
Interview with Jon Levine
One of the standout moments in the new Loki trailer was when Loki ended up in the TVA’s version of the DMV. Only instead of waiting forever for your number to be called, you have to verify everything you’ve ever said. Absurd. Yikes.
In the room we see an adorable cat, that may or may not be a Flerken, and the paperwork clerk in charge of getting Loki to sign off on an inordinate amount of papers. That clerk is none other than Jon Levine.
We couldn’t wait to talk with Jon about his time on the Loki set. Naturally, we wanted all the details but we know how those pesky NDAs work. However, he shared what he could including what it was like working with the god of mischief himself. From what he told us, that scene is going to be awesome.
As with all our guests, we asked him about his favorite fandoms, characters, and movies, which included a little tangent about Taika Waititi because how can you not. Jon also talked about Cobra Kai, Flerkens, and a lot more.
About Jon Levine

Welcome back to the Geek Girls’ Universe for The Weekly Bugle Vol 23. This week we are talking about the hot new Loki trailer, Black Widow footage, Space Jam, surprise Phase 4 cameos, and more.
This past week we got a new look at Black Widow, Loki, plus the Space Jam 2 trailer. Bruce Campbell continued to tease a cameo in Doctor Strange 2 and we got confirmation about another Sam Raimi favorite.
And although we talked a bit about Sharon Carter and how she relates to the Power Broker in our Falcon and Winter Soldier Episode 3 Breakdown, we decided we should go into a little more detail. However, we want to hear your opinions. Who do you think the Power Broker is?
Black Widow Final Trailer
The new Black Widow trailer was released to celebrate the set-in-stone release date of July 9. Finally, Widow is coming. We think it will feel like seeing a Marvel movie for the first time because it has been so long!
Not only did Marvel share a peek at young Natasha and a young Red Guardian but they revealed the best look yet of Taskmaster. Taskmaster is a very interesting villain and will prove to be a massive challenge for Nat. Not to mention we know some other Widows are running around. Good thing she has her family by her side.
Seriously though, Budapest needs to feature here. Somewhere…
Marvel dropped the new Loki trailer and in case you haven’t watched it do yourselves a favor and do that now.
Is that a Flerken we spy? Who knows but when we see a cat hanging out outside of Earth we automatically think Flerken. Loki is as charming as ever and clearly, has a thing or two up his sleeves. But you can TOTALLY trust him Mobius.
Bruce Campbell Cameo in Doctor Strange 2
A few months back Bruce Campbell tweeted about working on a movie in a city with some people and that it was great. The image he shared was of London where Doctor Strange 2 just happened to be filming.
Then on April 1st (yes April Fools), he tweeted a piece of the supposed script where his character, the disheveled man speaks to Dr. Strange. He has been known to troll fans before, like last April when he teased a return of Brisco County Jr. However, with his other tweet and the fact Sam Raimi is working on this film…perhaps Bruce might actually be in the movie.
Welcome to the Jam! The new Space Jam trailer dropped, and we had some thoughts. As fans of the original, this one looks like it is going to be a lot of fun. At the end of the day, Zendaya (who is voicing Lola Bunny) better get to sing! We need another anthem like I Believe I Can Fly but you know sung by someone who isn’t that one person.
Welcome back to the Geek Girls’ Universe for The Weekly Bugle Vol 21. This week brought with it Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode one, Loki news, and more Spidey set leaks!
This past week we saw a new Loki poster plus some interesting casting and confirmation. Sure there was that one 4-hour long cut that was released, but we don’t have the time for that. But we do have the time to discuss the latest Marvel news. Click here for our Falcon and Winter Soldier Episode 1 Breakdown
Loki
Marvel Studios released a new poster promoting the upcoming Loki series coming to Disney+ on June 11. It shows Loki in the custody of the TVA complete with a collar that much like Wanda’s in Civil War is meant to disrupt his power. However, one look at his face shows he is not concerned in the least.
Visually the clock is playing to the notion of his time traveling. It is also a nod to the TVA’s time machine from the comics. We have some thoughts about the lack of hexagons and the multitude of circles.
William Spencer, Andrew Garfield’s stunt double, shared and has since deleted a photo of him allegedly on the set of Spider-Man No Way Home. He also tagged Tom Holland’s stunt double in the caption and liked a comment that asked “are you on the set of NWH?”
While the multiverse angle of No Way Home has been out there for a while this would be more confirmation that it’s happening. However…
Pretty sure the dude is in a Marvel jail somewhere and will never work again. We have seen those NDA’s close up and they cover EVERYTHING.
Patriot Confirmed For Falcon and Winter Soldier
Elijah Richardson who was rumored to be playing Eli Bradley aka Patriot in Falcon and The Winter Soldier is confirmed to be in the show based on an Instagram story from his agency. That means one more for the Young Avengers and we are excited about it.
ZOMBIES 3
Fans of the Disney Channel franchise Zombies will be excited to learn that Zombies 3 is officially filming. The Zoms, Poms, and Werewolves must team up to take on a threat of galactic proportions.
Hey friends! Welcome to this week’s The Weekly Bugle Vol 5. We have a lot to discuss including The Mandalorian Chapter 12 ending, Loki rumors, the Snyder Cut, and more!
The Weekly Bugle Vol. 5
Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode Four The Siege.
The Mandalorian Season 2 The Siege
Just when you thought Baby Yoda couldn’t be any cuter, he goes to school. We have never felt more seen than when he used The Force to get cookies. Now if only that would work while waiting in line at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge…
The big reveal for this week came at the end when we saw just what Moff Gideon has been up to. Those are DARK TROOPERS. Most likely these are based on the 2014 mobile game Star Wars: Commander characters of the same name. They even look the part. It will be interesting to see if they are a type of droid, clone, or super clone with dark force abilities.
Either way, Din, The Child, and all their friends are in for a big fight.
Sebastian Stan shared a behind-the-scenes picture of him relaxing in a chair. You can’t see much except that clearly he and Mackie are going to have that great banter they had in Civil War. It looks like Bucky isn’t over Sam not moving his seat.
Loki
Rumors are going around that more than one version of Loki will feature in the upcoming Disney+ series. And no, Tom Hiddleston will not be playing them all. Reportedly Richard E. Grant has been cast to play “classic Loki”, while kid Loki has been mentioned before, as well. But the real question is will Lady Loki show up too?
Jamie Alexander, Lady Sif, shared on Instagram that she was headed to Atlanta for work. Loki is currently filming in Atlanta which makes it likely Lady Sif will make her MCU return. Finally! In our opinion, she has been gone way too long.
Wonder Woman 1984 to HBO Max
WW84 will debut on HBO Max the same day as it hits theaters. This is an interesting strategy for DC. Depending on the success it may point to what other studios will do in the future.
In case you were wondering, we still want to see Black Widow in IMAX.
Justice League The Snyder Cut
For YEARS DC fans have begged, campaigned, and cried for The Snyder Cut. That wish is coming true. The Snyder Cut is coming to HBO Max in 2021. HBO released the trailer and well, we have some thoughts.
Hallelujah was overdone in the trailer. And it was hard to see but is Henry’s lip fixed for real this time? There are a lot of other thoughts but you’ll have to listen to the show to hear them. Leave your comments below and let us know if you agree.
But seriously, after the massive letdown of Justice League are you looking forward to this?
Scream 5 is Scream
Filming has wrapped on Scream 5 aka Scream. It is an interesting name choice (the original is named Scream) but at least the OG cast is back together. Now let’s see what dummy runs upstairs or loudly goes “who’s there?!”
In my best Titus voice, “What white nonsense is this?”
We Can Be Heroes
This is a follow up to Sharkboy and Lavagirl. Nope, Taylor Lautner is not in it. And the story follows the daughter of the two original heroes.
TBH never watched the first one but are you excited about it?
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reunion
Last week the trailer dropped, this week we saw the reunion. I’m just happy the OG Aunt Viv and Will made nice after all these years. She did not hold back either.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reunion is available on HBO Max.
Animaniacs
The Animaniacs are back and as funny as ever. The cyclops bit had me in tears! Plus Pinky and The Brain trying to go viral?! We could relate.
Animaniacs is available to stream on Hulu.
American Housewife
It’s Thanksgiving week, which means lots of fun holiday-themed episodes. One we are both excited about is American Housewife. Katy starts a vlog and goes viral for having a meltdown while trying to homeschool Anna-Kat and Franklin. I think we can all relate because distance learning SUCKS!!!
